Aloo Tikki Choley Chaat
1/2 cup peas boiled
1 tbsp grated ginger
3-4 garlic chopped fine
1 green chili finely chopped
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp jeera
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
1/2 cup rava for coating
Oil for cooking
let it cook for a min, then add all the dry masalas. When the masalas mix well add the peas, then
add the potatoes. cook this for 5 mins. Then add salt and a little lemon juice. Cook for 2 more mins.
Then add coriander leaves. Mix well. let it cool.
Then make small flat patties out of the above mixture. Coat it with rava on both sides.
Then in a pan add a little oil. When it turns hot. Add the pattice and let it fry on low flame, until they are golden brown.
Then flip it over and cook the other side. follow the same steps for the rest of the patties.
For choley
1/2 Red onion, chopped fine
1 Tomato, chopped fine
1 & 1/2 tsp - Coriander powder
1/2 tsp - Red chili powder
1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
1 tsp - Amchoor powder
1 tsp - chole powder
Add coriander, red chili, turmeric, chole and Amchoor powder. Fry for a second.
Add tomato and cook on low heat till tomato is well cooked and oil separates.
Add cooked channa, little water and bring to a boil. Add salt to taste and cook till the gravy thickens.
Take off the stove.
To make the chaat
1/2 cup - Tamarind-date chutney
1/2 cup - Green chutney
1/2 Red onion, chopped fine
a little coriander leaves chopped fine
In a serving plate, place tikki, pour some choley on it, then add a little yogurt and the chutneys.
Sprinkle onion, and coriander leaves. Serve it hot.
Ingredients
